The Else Kröner-Fresenius-Stiftung announces an Else Kröner-Fresenius award for medical humanitarian aid projects in the year 2008

distinction:

• of an existing medical humanitarian project serving the improvement of medical care preferentially in developing countries

in particular:

• improvement of health care for patients
• support of education of hospital and medical care personnel
• p rograms for the population with focus on medical information or prevention
• s upport of medical scientific cooperation between Germany and preferentially developing countries

conditions:

• distinction of a large, structural project
• no support of individuals or of emergency aid in individual cases
• the project must have commenced at least one year ago and will end in one year at the earliest
• the humanitarian aspect of the project should be evident
• the project has not been sponsored by the Else Kröner-Fresenius-Stiftung
• the EKFS award will be dedicated to the project

Please submit a project report of approximately 3 pages considering in particular the following criteria:

• integration of local partners regarding planning and realization of project
• consideration of local circumstances
• number of beneficiaries of project
• sustainability, perspective of project
• sponsors of project
