The DEUTSCHE GESELLSCHAFT FÜR SÄUGETIERKUNDE (German Society of Mammalogy) opens the competition for the FRITZ FRANK AWARD 2008.
The award consists of EUR 1.500.- and is intended for promoting excellent scientific work in mammalian biology.
Candidates may submit papers or doctoral theses published within the last three calendar years. At the time of publication the candidate must have been younger than 33 years. Suitable topics are phylogeny and systematics, biogeography, ethology, ecology, and population biology of mammals.
A jury will decide upon the qualification of the candidates.
Five copies of the respective publications or theses along with a curriculum vitae must be submitted until April 15th 2008 to the managing secretary:
