Launched in 2002, the Bremer Scholarship is an annual scholarship program that supports students and people new the field pursuing a career in technology transfer. Named to honor our esteemed colleague, a pioneering AUTM member and past president of the association (1978-1979), the scholarship is awarded to people who - like Bremer - dream of becoming revolutionaries in the academic technology transfer field.

AUTM is now accepting applications for the 2008 Howard Bremer Scholarship program to support the specialized training of up to five people who want to build expertise in academic technology transfer. The scholarship´s goal is to foster educational opportunities for individuals who are committed to the vision of technology transfer and are novices in the field

To qualify, scholarship applicants should be regular or student AUTM members who have less than two years of experience in the profession or are studying technology transfer in an accredited graduate program.

AUTM will select up to five scholars, who will receive:

• Complimentary registration to the 2008 AUTM Annual Meeting, February 28-March 1 in San Diego
• $500 honorarium
• Travel support up to $1300 to the 2008 AUTM Annual Meeting.
• Scholarship recipients will receive formal recognition at the 2008 AUTM Annual Meeting in San Diego
