This annual grant of EUR 100,000 from Grünenthal GmbH is aimed at supporting young scientists in carrying out innovative and exploratory clinical pain research in projects in any country with an EFIC chapter (see www.EFIC.org).

The decision on the awarding of grants is made entirely by the EFIC Research Committee.

Research Grants are intended for clinical and human experimental research projects on the subject of pain. Research proposals on animals, computer simulations etc. will not be considered.

Research grants are valued at up to EUR 25,000 per project. The duration of projects should not be longer than two years.

The Research Committee of the EFIC has decided to extend the deadline for application of the EFIC Grünenthal Grant (E-G-G) to April 30th, 2007.

All those applicants who were unfortunate not to be awarded a grant have the opportunity of submitting their applications once more.
