Boasting approximately 4,200 exhibitors from 65 nations and attracting all in all over 137,500 trade visitors from more than 100 countries (40 percent from abroad), this is the world´s largest medical fair.

At the same time, the high degree of international participation in MEDICA (which accounts for roughly half the booked exhibition space) shows that many foreign companies also expect promising business from the European market regardless of the health care policy restrictions.

With an area of 118,500 m2 (net), MEDICA 2007 exceeds the final results of the previous year. 70 percent of the approximately 4,300 exhibitors in 2007 come from abroad. In total, 65 nations will participate in MEDICA 2007 (visitor results 2006: 137,503, 40% of which were international visitors). 

The themes at MEDICA are clearly structured into segments and reflect the entire range of medical care processes in doctors´ surgeries and clinics.

The main focus areas are: electromedical equipment, medical technology, laboratory equipment / diagnostics, drugs, physiotherapy / orthopaedic technology, single-use products and consumer goods, information and communication technology, textiles, medical furniture, room furnishings, facility management and premises and building technology.

Within the framework of COMPAMED, the leading international trade fair for upstream suppliers to the medical products manufacturing sector, a comprehensive spectrum of high-tech solutions for use in medical device technology will be presented - from new materials, components, primary products, packaging and services up to complex micro-system technology and nano technology.
