Scottish Biomedical is a preclinical drug discovery services company located on the West of Scotland Science Park in Glasgow, Scotland.

Established in 1994, Scottish Biomedical is a private, profitable, self-funded organization with 58 researchers. In addition to the company´s capabilities and expertise in the area of ethical human tissue acquisition, molecular biology and protein technology, Scottish Biomedical´s strengths also include primary & secondary assay development, high-throughput & high-content screening, medicinal chemistry and pharmacology.

By integrating expertise in cell systems biology with medicinal chemistry, Scottish Biomedical has been able to establish many successful drug discovery collaborations with pharmaceutical/biotech clients around the world. 

Today, through collaborations and internal efforts, 2 of the programmes that Scottish Biomedical has worked on have reached Phase II, and a further 2 programmes are currently in Phase I.

In addition to these programmes, Scottish Biomedical currently has over 12 programmes at various stages of pre-clinical development.
