Max-Planck-Innovation GmbHProfile
Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase p110gamma (PI3Kgamma), the only member of the PI3K-family of kinases known to be linked to G protein-coupled receptors, has gained increasing attention as a promising drug target for the treatment of inflammatory disease.
Extensive target-validation data are available, which are derived from studies using both pharmacological and genetic tools. More recent findings have uncovered further therapeutic applications for PI3Kgamma inhibitors, opening up potentially huge opportunities for these drugs.
Licensing Offer
Max Planck Society through its licensing agency Max Planck Innovation GmbH invites interested licensees pursuing work related to and utilizing Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase p110 gamma (PI3Kgamma) to consider to join the already existing pool of licensees by obtaining a non-exclusive license for the broad intellectual property rights on Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase p110gamma (PI3Kgamma), e.g. in the fields of drug development and/or diagnostics and/or production and/or research.
International patents issued. Additional information and literature data are provided in the attached pdf.

About Max-Planck-Innovation GmbH
Max Planck Innovation advises and supports scientists of the Max Planck Society in evaluating inventions and filing patent applications. They market patents and technologies to industry and coach founders of new companies based on research results from Max Planck Institutes. Every year, they evaluate about 130 inventions, of which 80 to 100 lead to the filing of a patent. In the last five years alone, they advised 28 spin-offs, closed more than 450 license deals and generated proceeds of more than EUR100m for inventors, institutes and the Max Planck Society. As a result, Max Planck Innovation is among the world's most successful technology transfer organizations. Max Planck Innovation was founded in 1970 as Garching Instrumente GmbH and operated under the name of Garching Innovation from 1993 to 2006.
