How to use Technology Offers

Product name

Antitumor-active Rhodium complexes

Summary

Novel rhodium-based compounds with a strong cytostatic capability are offered for the therapy of cancer.

Organization name

IPAL GmbH

Profile

Technology

Novel rhodium-based compounds with a strong cytostatic capability are offered for the therapy of cancer. Determination of IC50 values of the discovered rhodium complexes revealed a strong cytostatic effect in breast cancer cells and colon carcinoma cells.

The activity was up to 100fold higher compared to known cytostatica. The rhodium complexes exhibit a high potential in regard of the increasing resistences of tumors to common chemotherapeutic agents, such as Cisplatin or Carboplatin.

Thus the novel antitumor-active rhodium complexes represent powerful compounds to fight especially breast and colorectal cancer.

Advantages

  • Therapy of various kinds of cancer and metastases, especially breast and colorectal cancer
  • No known resistence development of tumors to rhodium complexes
  • Up to 100fold higher activity in comparison to cisplatin

European patent application filed.

This product candidates have been developed at the Freie Universität Berlin and the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany and are offered by IPAL.
