How to use Technology Offers

Product name

GD2 peptide mimotopes for therapy of and vaccination against tumors

Summary

Decapeptide mimotopes with high affinity to GD2 specific antibody provide a tool for therapy and vaccination against different tumors like melanoma, neuroblastoma, glioma, soft tissue sarcoma, and small cell carcinoma of the lung.

Organization name

ipal GmbH

Profile

The glycolipid (disialoganglioside) GD2 is an antigen highly expressed in tumor cells of neuroectodermal origin. Its nature was copied by a peptide-mimotope approach done by calculating docking experiments. In principle these GD2 mimicking peptides, applied by DNA vaccination, elicit an innate immune response thus protecting model animals (mice) from spontaneous liver metastases in contrast to control group.

Efficacy was proven

  • in vitro by surface plasmon resonance measurements
  • in a CHO-1 cell system and
  • in vivo by DNA and peptide vaccination of mice.

Protection comprises

  • Sequence of two effective decapeptide mimotopes
  • vector construction information and
  • pharmaceutical composition.

A European patent application has been filed. Additional information is provided in the attached pdf.

The technology was developed at the Charité (Berlin/Germany) and is offered by IPAL.
